In 1956, Joe and Edith Sellers took the switchboard which had
been in the Pine Drive Store of Beulah, Colorado, set it up
in their home and officially started the Pine Drive
Telephone Company.

There was a staff of three - Joe, Edith and Dick (6), and
they served 26 customers on 10 party lines. After forty
years, Dick Sellers owns and operates the Company which now
serves over 900 Residential and Business customers with
private line, state-of-the-art features in
Telecommunications.
A Field crew of four builds and maintains over 500 miles of
cable through 200 square miles of western Pueblo County, as
well as areas reaching into Custer County. Real people answer
the phone at the business office.
