The Internet has developed its own specialized language and "slang". Since most communication is achieved through typing messages, a number of shortcuts have evolved to speed up the process. Some of the most commonly used abbreviations are:
 BTW - By The Way  .com - domain suffix for a commercial entity
 CYA - See You Around  .edu - domain suffix denoting an educational institution
 FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions  .gov - domain suffix used by the government
 HTH - Hope This Helps  .mil - domain suffix for military organizations
 IMHO - In My Humble Opinion  .net - domain suffix denoting a network entity
 MOTD - Message Of The Day  .org - domain suffix denoting a non-profit group
 PPL - People  TIA - Thanks In Advance
 OTOH - On The Other Hand  TTTT - To Tell The Truth
 RTM - Read The Manual, also RTFM  YMMV - Your Mileage May Vary
 LOL - Laughing Out Loud  ROFL - Rolling on the Floor Laughing
 TTFN - "Ta-Ta" For Now  TANSTAAFL - There Ain't No Such Thing As A Free Lunch
 FWIW - For What It's Worth  AFAIK - As Far As I Know
